The villages of Sedgehill and Semley in Wiltshire lie on either side of the A350 approximately 3 miles to the north of Shaftesbury. Part of the parish lies within the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. AONBs are landscapes considered so precious that they are protected for the nation. This one is also an International Dark Sky Reserve and Sedgehill and Semley Parish Council is committed to helping preserve this status.
Though a relatively small parish council it supports a vibrant community and includes a thriving primary school, village shop, pub, two churches, two village halls and many flourishing businesses.
